Training.... Anbu style

It was early in the morning the next day and Kai felt he had to train alittle today, it had been awhile since he had recieved a mission from the mizukage. He entered the training ground as the sun was begining to peer over the horizon, the dark was begin to fade and he took amoment to enjoy the aray of colors in the sky. He stood still with his eyes closed and still wearing his anbu uniform, and soaked in the rush of warmth that was slowly creeping over the land. But he quickly broke his relaxed mood and slowly began to take off his anbu cloak, followed by his mask. He folded his cloak and place the mask on top and pulled out a scroll from his utility pouch on his waist and with one seal his locked his clothes inside and placed the scroll back in the pouch.

He stood up and surveyed the land around him, he studied the mountainous parts and the wooded area, aswell as the rivers and flat lands. His clothes was black with a red demonlike bone structure on the back, he worn no shoes and he eye patch blocked his right eye. He wore loose black silk pants and a black silk sleeveless shirt that stretches down to the shins but is cut into four flaps.(see char claim for visual) He came with the intention of creating a new jutsu that would allow him to summon sea creatures onto dry land without losing their effectiveness, but also he needed a way to summon more water to the field if needed to be albe to use his stronger jutsu to there maximum. This would require a great deal of water but the task of creating the water drains far to much chakra and that becomes a problem in battles especially during back to back battles.

He had a great supply of chakra probably only second to the mizukage, but still he had to refine hid techniques to prevent the waste of chakra during jutsu and battle. But also he wanted to gather some practice with summoning jutsus, so he figured he could kill two birds with one stone. Pulled two empty scrolls from his pouch and walked over to the closet body of water, He got this idea from the summoning knowledge he acquired in the books in the library. But first he had to practice with smaller bodies of water, he placed one scroll about twenty yards from the river and continued toward the river. Once he had arrived he used the water walking technique to stand in the middle of the river, he drew four interlocking seals in the center of the scroll and placed it on the waters surface and using his chakra to keep the water from washing it away. He focused for a moment and whispered Summoning Art: Water Surge and with that said the scroll glowed and sank under the surface but only a bit, He looked over at the area of the other scroll but saw nothing.

He grabbed the scroll which was still completely dry even though it had been underwater and walked over to the other scroll and noticed that there was a small puddle of water around the scroll, but it was still not enough hmm, could it be I need to use more chakra or do I have to increase the strength and complexity of the seals on both the scrolls. He then summoned four clones and each one carrying the two scrolls, your orders are to continue the summoning jutsu but one of you will be using 10% of your energy, and you will be using 20 and you thirty and you forty percent of your energy. I need good information so dont fail. He pointed to the river and the clones scattered and did as he had commanded, he casully walked over to a stone and leaned up against it. He closed his eyes and focused his mind and was able to get a glimpse of what the clones were doing as he himself was doing them, but he could also communicate when there focus had slipped or if he wanted to increase the flow of energy.

It had been hours of constant training and the fatigue was clear on the faces of the clones as sweat dripped heavily down their faces. Kai was watching studying every detail trying to learn and improve the flaws of the jutsu but it was proving far more difficult then he had expected but his drive and need for this to more was to great for him to give up.Ive adjusted the seal four times and the flow is getting better but the chakra needed for the jutsu is also increasing and I dont want that.... the idea is to generate as much water as possible with little to no effort or extensive chakra usage. This will allow me to fight that much long and use my stronger jutsu with greater ease, But until I have a better seal the jutsu will be to costly and is there for no use to me. He looked toward the horizon and watched as the sun began to quickly fade away, the once live chatter of life in the area was replaced with the hoots of owls and the flutter of insects.

He figured he only had maybe another hour at best before it would be to dark for him to continue, besides the drain of the clones and the jutsu pratice was also taking its toll on his chalra supply and his stamina was reaching its limit. He looked back at the working clones and by linking with them he had them switch things around a bit, he had them us different seal adaptations that he had creted and hoped that with multiple seals and chakra flow ranges, he would be able to take the best of the experiments and create a whole new variation that would make the jutsu work.

It hadnt taken long before new results emerged from the study, this brought a small grinn of excitement to his face but only for a moment. The shinobi was almost there and if he could complete this he would have created and perfected a powerful jutsu in just one day, He was a member of the mist village anbu squad after all, he needed to grow stronger if he was going to protect his village from all intruders, as well as acomplish his mission. Yes, his mission, he closed his eyes and a flood of old memories rushed back into his hand One of my missions is to become the strongest and protect this land from all, ill need to create powerful jutsu and most importantly I wish to capture the three tails. With its power I will be able to become a shield for this village, this is only one of my goals for my life.... so I cant let myself be slowed down by this jutsu, I have to much left to do. Kai then regained his focus and notice that while in deep thought the sun had fallen and his clones had vanished, It had seemed that they used up all the energy and dissolved. The rush of knowledge from the clones progress was very helpful for him and he was now able to better understand what he had to do. It seemed that the seal he was using was lacking in some key points which is why it costed so much to get alittle of the water to transfer. So he felt that he had done enough for one day and decided he had to sleep on it and sat down next to the rock he had been leaning on all day, He closed his eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.

The forest was quiet, except for the beautiful songs the insects and birds sang. The leaves were emerald green on trees, the grass also. The massive waterfalls that intertwined together waters' zoned out the music the insects and birds played. The water was crystal clear and fresh. Large cliffs that stood 10 stories high surrounded the east side of the forest, the waterfalls falling down into the spring. Claire was standing on top of the water, her reflection looking back at her as she stared at it. Her long blonde hair blew sideways in the wind, and the water was no longer glassy as the wind gently rolled by. When it passed, her hair fell down her back, and she crossed her arms. She had a peaceful look plastered on her face.

The water returned to being glassy and crystal clear. A dent then formed between her eyebrows, a perturbed look on her face. Her eyes then flew open, and she pulled her right arm back-her fists glowing blue-and swung it downward, punching the water beneath her. Large dorsal-fin like waves exploded from the water, thundering down the spring in a straight line and smashed into the waterfall's cliff that was fifty feet away. Her short dress ruffled in the wind, along with her hair as the large waves flew upward out of the water from in front of her and were sent sauntering away. When the waves smashed into the cliff's wall, a loud ear-shattering crunching noise erupted through the whole area, chunks of gravel falling into the far deep end and seeping under. Many birds that had been in trees in the area had frantically flew away by the loud commotion. With her fist still pressed against the water and bent over, the water now rippling from the hit, she watched with careful eyes. She then slowly stood up straight and beamed at herself. She was trying to make a punch more effective without using much chakra, and she had succeeded. She placed her hands on her hips, smiling. "Not bad," she muttered to herself, her voice soft. Now only smaller boulders fell into the water, and by smaller, the small boulders were as big as her. The sun then came back out from hiding behind the clouds, and it's bright rays of light shone down on her, making it a bit harder to see. She rose her hand up to her tanned face and held her it above her eyes so she could block the sun's light, to see the mountain clearer. It no longer looked like a mountain. Overly sized chunks of it were completely gone, the mountain looking less bulkier. "Oops," she mumbled. She slightly smiled with satisfaction.

The sun rose over the horizon like a fireball, the suns light was blinding and Kai couldnt help but wake up. His eye squinting to be able to see in the light, thats when he heard an echoing crash in the distance hmm.... who could that be. the shinobi stared in the direction of the noise and watched as flocks of birds scattered from that direction. He felt iit was his duty to check it out but this was a training ground so he decided not to, he was almost done with his training and if it was a threat to the village it would have to pass by him. He stayed seated and with one sign summoned five clones, he then gave them new orders alright men... were doing something new here is the new seal and I want you to only use 3% of your energy, If this goes well... I should be able to summon almost unlimited water just as easy as summoning a weapon. I just need you to grow acustom to the complexity of the seal and the right amount of chakra needed to perform the technique without waste. No get to it.

Kai took a moment and enjoyed the gentle breeze and the warmth of the sun. He stood up and dusted himself off a bit, he glanced around studying the new view of the land. He noticed a couple of things that he had not in the dark, after a couple minutes of surveying he made his way to a small pool of water. He slowly undressed down to his boxers and gently stepped into the cool water of the pool, He began washing himself with the water, brushing off all the dirt and oils on his body. After some time he just layed back and floated on the surface of the water, he stared at the sky for a second until he closed his eyes again and took in some sun. This was not really anbu but everyone needs alittle rest, he would check on the clones progress every now and again to make sure everything was going according to plan.

I have more jutsu to create, this is just the begining.... I will make another learning scroll to be taught to the shinobi of the village, this way are ninja would be able to fight at full power even on foreign soil. Kai watched the clouds roll by and just thought about the jutsu he would have to train next and hope that he was skilled enough to finish them. But if he was to move further he knew he would also have to increase his chakra control to beyond godliness, He had heard of the power the leaf village had because of the nine tails and that there was a user of the rasengan. Even as skilled as Kai was he had never been able to perform this jutsu but through failed attempts he had discovered a few other techniques that he would be able to do, but ofr kai it was not just creating a jutsu it was completely mastering a jutsu to the point he could use it with any part of his body.

He had trained his control so much that he could preform most of his jutsus with other body parts, for example he can use the water prison with his feet thus leaving his hands free for more jutsus. He was one of the anbus most decorated shinobi but he chose not to advance further, he refused the anbu captains postion and is content serving as a lone hunter. He looks back at his life and wonders, he never really had any friends and because of his upbringing he never had time for them, he was trained to ignore emotion but after watching many of his comrades laugh and play with each other he looked to learn more about these expressions, but its not going to well.

He snaps out of his daze and makes his way out of the water, using his hand to wipe away the water and began to get dressed. Kai´s frame was very lean with some rippedness to it, he had slightly tanned skin and sandy hair, he was finally dreesed and decided it was time to see how far he had come with his training. He commanded the clones to disperse and the flood of information rushed back like a wave, He quickly reached into one of the pouches he carried at his waist on his back. He drew the scroll like a sword and it opened up in the process, the complex seal sat in the center of the scroll and with one hand he made a sign that forced the scroll to glow and the next second a rush of water shot out of the seal. Kai dropped the scroll on the ground and jumped back, he watched carefully as the water poured out and then would look at the other body of water as it slowly began to empty little by little.

Claire then took one step back and fluidly appeared in front of her broad sword that was sticking out of the damp sand. She twirled it in the air then brought it downward, the sword clicking into place as the belt fastened around it. She had been training all night, working on her jutsus. She began to walk towards the woodsy area, her hands glowing blue as she healed them. The skin on her knuckles had been damaged badly from punching the mountain's side. The reason why she was punching it was because with a jutsu she had created, Siren's Kiss, she tried to force all of her chakra into one blow, making it more effective. It had highly increased since her last training day, which was yesterday.

As she slowly walked further into the forest, the sun had disappeared above the tree's canopy. Patches of sun were scattered around the area everywhere, and where there weren't patches of sunlight, there was shade. Claire felt tired all of a sudden, she hadn't realized how much energy she had used in the last 24 hours. Feeling too tired to walk, she stopped in a patch of sunlight, the light shining down on her flawless face as she did hand signs. She then swiftly pressed her palm flatly to the ground and a large cloud puffed around her. She stood up straight and when the dirt cloud disappeared, a large bird that stood 7'3 stood before her. She had summoned Sonata, a secret clan jutsu she had learned years ago. He looked like a large phoenix mixed with an eagle, but the colors are different. Starting from his beak is a brilliant bright red that runs up his head. His feathers on his head are long and scuffled, and the feathers are mango orange and mikado yellow. These feathers race down his long neck and then his body a teal blue. His wings are teal blue also, but the tips of his wings are outlined with thick lines of black. His irises were emerald green, and he watched Claire with careful eyes. Realizing how tired she was, he walked towards her and nudged her towards his back with his enormous head. Claire was pushed forward, and she lightly laughed and jumped onto his back. Her fingers tangled into his soft fur on his lower neck, and with one single flap of his wings, they were sent off into the air. The cool air brushed Claire's face, blowing her hair back as the soared through the air. She sighed, looking down for no apparent reason.

That's when she spotted what looked like a man who had just opened up a scroll. Water shot out of it, forming a small body of water. Claire's jutsus were mostly based on water, so the looks of what the man had just summoned made her a bit interested. She patted Sonata lightly and he nodded, knowing what she was going to do. She put all of her weight on her left side, making her fall off of the bird. She had been very high in the air, but she didn't care. She had done this countless times. She fell head first, looking back at Sonata, who now turned into a puff of cloud and slowly fade away, and looked back towards the ground. The tress came closer and closer, and she held her hand out. Her palm came in contact of a branch, and she gripped onto it with both hands and swung beneath it.When she let go, she flipped once and landed on the tip of her toes on another branch, the branch staying still as she stood on it lightly. She stepped out forward and fell, the air making her hair go straight up as she fell towards the soft ground. When she landed, she landed with the lightest thud of her feet, and she turned around. She then spotted the boy, and leaned against a tree's trunk, crossing her arms. She watched with very careful and still eyes, her kekke genkai analyzing him.

Kai was still in the process of releasing the full force of the water flow when he noticed a chakra pressence coming closer at a very fast pace, he could tell the figure was growing closer and the closer it got the clearer the reading on the target.I thought it was one big guy but it seems it was two, but it sees one has dissappeared completely. Ill continue the jutsu and wait for an opportune moment.Kai carried on trying to get a fix on the unknown in the area but made it look as if nothing was wrong, He could shake the feeling he was being watched and it didnt suit well with him. He changed the his hand seal and seconds later the flow of water bursted out of the seal like a waterfall, the burst was so great that it completely covered Kai´s body.Thats when he made his move, he used the burst to hide his body and replace it with a water clone and it was so skillfully done that the seal jutsu didnt show the slightiest sign of interruption.

Kai used his air walking jutsu to hide his footsteps as he closed in on the unknown spectator, he had closed in and realized it was a women.hmm he didnt recognize her from the village but he also wasnt sure if she was enemy, Anbu dont kill without Kage gohead. He didnt sense any evil from her but he would not let his guard down, Who are you?.... and what are you doing here? he said in a calm voice. The last thing he needed was to start an unnecessary fight, he kept his face hidden in the shadows of the forest while his body was lingered in a ray of sun that had managed to pass through the dense tree tops. He made no attempt to reach for any weapons and he was trying to be as non hostile as possible but his emotionless face would be hard to consider friendly so he tryed to smile but it was not good it was fake and he felt as if his face was going to crack. He didnt hold it for long and he had to wait for the strange womens response.

He was focusing some more and changed his hand sign to increase the flow of water from a gallon falling at a time to a surge that bursted through the open seal like a raging waterfall. The explosion of water was incredible to the point that the once deep river that he had been training with had dropped about fifteen feet, he had done it. Its just about perfect I can now summon an almost endless amount of water using the same amount of energy it would take to summon a small weapon. Ill have to stop at this for now, ill need to check in to make sure that im not needed in the village. He was calm even though he had perfected a brand new jutsu that would greatly improve the mist villages fighting skill on enemy soils. He rolled the scroll up and placed it in his pouch, he then made sure he had gathered all his things and calmly walked out of the training grounds and decided he would go home to clean up propperly before going to the Mizukages office. The sun was high in the sky and the air was cool yet had brief moment of warmth, it was a good day but in the village of mists, it would only be a matter of time before the clouds block out the sun and the heavy mists drop a vast shroud over the people of this land.
